SQUINT

Squint Treatment is for misalignment of the eyes which basically means that the left eye and right eyes point in different directions. It is the one of the common problem seen in children and may appear at later ages as well. The misalignment can be intermittent or manifest.

TYPES OF SQUINT

Squint is comitant (or concomitent) when angle of deviation is similar in all gazes towards Noncomitent Squint has different angle of deviation in different gazes.

ESOTROPIA

The condition when the eye turns inward towards the nose

EXOTROPIA

The condition when the eye turns outward away from the nose

HYPOTROPIA

The condition when the eye turns downwards direction

HYPERTROPIA

The condition when the eye turns upwards direction

Squint is treatable condition with extremely high success rate, treatment options include glasses, patching / occlusion treatment, orthoptic exercise and surgeries.
